You’ll remember that Ken Conklin was ordained just days before doctors expected him to enter eternal life.

Since then, his condition has improved dramatically.  “Miracles surround us,” his bishop said.

Now there’s this update on Facebook from the man who ordained him, Bishop Rick Stika:

People have asked how Deacon Ken Conklin is doing.

As you may remember, he was given only a few weeks to live, so I traveled to his home amd surrounded by family and friends, was ordained a Deacon of the Diocese of Knoxville.

Well, since then, he has gained 20 pounds and now travels to his parish to assist at Mass. He also received good news about his cancer. Still there but not progressing.

Could it be through the intercession of our own Servant of God, Fr Patrick Ryan that his cancer is not spreading?

Now thank we all our God!

May our blessed Lord continue to hold Deacon Ken Conklin in his loving embrace, that this deacon may continue to serve God and his people with love, with joy and with eternal hope, grateful for every moment of this life he has been given.
