On the eve of Pentecost, I ordained 19 men to the Diaconate through the laying on of hands and the descent of the Holy Spirit. Just as the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles, we pray the Holy Spirit will guide our new deacons as they proclaim the Gospel of Christ as ministers of the altar. We thank them and their families for their sacrifices and pray their humble service will be an inspiration to those they serve.
