From Vatican News:

At 12:00 today, October 16, Pope Leo XIV celebrated the Holy Mass in the room equipped on the tenth floor of the Gemelli Polyclinic.

The hospital’s medical and nursing staff, who were out of service at the time, and members of the Vatican City State’s Gendarmerie Corps were present.

In his homily, the Pope thanked all the staff —doctors, nurses, and assistants— for the work they do every day taking care of the sick and their fragility, and especially for everything they have done and continue to do for him.

This morning, the Holy Father underwent blood tests and a chest X-ray, which confirmed the constant improvement in his general condition.

Respiratory physiotherapy sessions have been continued. The postoperative recovery allows him to carry out normal daily activities with total autonomy.
