Please pray for the repose of the soul of my brother priest Fr. Gioacchino Basile. He contracted the Covid-19 virus and passed to the Father at 4:09 am this morning in Brooklyn, where he was Pastor at St . Gabriel’s. We came to this country together and were seminarians together. He was a wonderful person and a holy priest. Fr. Gioacchino was originally from Calabria, Italy. Please remember his family in your prayers.
We got word of this from the diocese just before recording our Palm Sunday Mass Saturday. We prayed for him at the start of the liturgy. In your charity, please pray for him, too, and remember all those who love him.
