The good people at the Josephinum have put this together with Peter’s Way Tours, and I think this is a wonderful opportunity:
The Franciscan Monastery of the United States and the Pontifical College Josephinum’s renowned Diaconate Institute invite you to accompany them on an extraordinary intellectual and spiritual experience.
On Holy Ground: Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus and the First Deacons is a unique pilgrimage opportunity that has been customized specifically for Permanent Deacons, men in diaconate formation, and their wives. In addition to experiencing the holiest places in Christendom, this pilgrimage will include visits to the biblical/historical sites identified in the Acts of the Apostles associated with significant events in the lives of the first seven deacons, and more specifically, Saint Stephen the Protomartyr and Saint Philip the Deacon, two of the Early Church’s first evangelists.
Also making this pilgrimage unique is that it may be used to meet continuing education requirements, as an elective course for those enrolled in JDI programs – or simply for a stimulating educational and spiritual experience. (For those interested in educational credit, see the Catalog Listing)
You can see the full itinerary here. The brochure, with even more information, is available at this link.
The nitty gritty: It begins the week after Easter 2022 (April 28) and lasts 10 days (including travel days).
The all-inclusive package pricing begins at $3,995, sharing a twin room. You can read the brochure for additional details on the payment schedule and what’s involved.
The video below, while not the exact itinerary, gives a a preview of the experience on pilgrimage from the local guide, Fabricio Lomanto.
