It happened in Chicago over the weekend. Windows were shattered and the bookstore was looted.
This post on Twitter tells part of the story:
Our Sisters in Chicago are all safe, but our bookcenter was broken into and looted last night during the riots.
Please pray for our Sisters.
And pray for peace. pic.twitter.com/Wzmkfpry6j— Sister Bethany, fsp (@SrBethanyFSP) May 31, 2020
One of the sisters, tweeted this:
So last night our bookstore in Chicago was looted.
I’ll bet people were really disappointed when they got home and found that all they had to show for it was a handful of religious books.— Sister Anne (@nunblogger) May 31, 2020
They also posted that one of the sisters removed the Blessed Sacrament when they “they realized they were going to be in the eye of the storm.”
God bless these women and their great spirit.
