Slain Al Jazeera journalist to be laid to rest in Jerusalem (AP) Thousands of Palestinians are expected to attend the funeral on Friday in Jerusalem of an Al Jazeera journalist who witnesses say was shot dead by Israeli forces earlier this week while covering a military operation in the occupied West Bank. A funeral service will be held on Friday afternoon at a Catholic church in Jerusalem’s Old City before her body is taken to a nearby cemetery for burial. Priest kidnapped in Nigeria killed (CNA) A Catholic archdiocese in Nigeria on Wednesday announced the death of a priest who was kidnapped in March. The Archdiocese of Kaduna said on May 11 that Father Joseph Akete Bako died more than a month after he was seized on March 8, reported ACI Africa, CNA’s African news partner. Father Christian Okewu Emmanuel, chancellor of the archdiocese, said: “It is with a heavy heart, but with total submission to the will of God, that we announce the death of Rev. Catholic pregnancy center vandalized in Texas (NBC5) Denton police are looking for the person who vandalized Loreto House, a local Catholic pregnancy center in Denton County, early Saturday morning.
