This comes from the good people at Hundredfold Video (kudos to my old Brooklyn friend Katie Rutter!) and it offers a compelling, poignant and wonderfully informative look at how the diaconate took root and flourished in the early 1970s — along with insight into the diaconate today.
Props to the bishop of St. Cloud, Patrick Neary, C.S.C., who clearly “gets” deacons and loves having them.
