So I’m here at MCO (Orlando International Airport) at 4:13 am, about to begin what I’m calling my Lent Marathon: six parish missions in six dioceses in six weeks. First stop: St. Francis de Sales in Beckley, West Virginia. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop by and say hello!

After that, it’s on to Houston, Texas; Sag Harbor, New York; Goshen, New York; Brevard, North Carolina and a final stop in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. When all is done, I’ll arrive back in Orlando just in time for the Triduum. (I will be making pitstops back at our house every week — just enough time to say hello to my wife, collapse, do laundry, repack and head back to the airport.)

I’m going to try and chronicle my journeys, Wi-Fi and my brain permitting. Pray for me and I’ll pray for you!

People ask me what I’m giving up for Lent.

My answer: sleep.

Onward!
